Our Pollution Control Barrel Adsorber with a power blower, Model PCB-170 is an economical solution when you are looking for active ventilation odor control. This model uses the same sturdy HDPE barrell as our PCB-150 but adds a steel flange with a power blower.

This basic model adsorber, while not offering the features found on our larger HDPE models to create a functional odor control unit at an affordable price. The PCB150-PB arrives in three packages. All that is required is the electrical hook up and inlet piping to your odor source. Typical applications include Lift station wet wells (Helps prevent Concrete erosion due to sewer gas acids.) Nuance odor and VOC control from small warehouses, Camp ground septic tanks vents, drum filling operations, sludge press room odor control, or anywhere that active ventilation is required at 100CFM or less.

Shipping on this product will need to be calculated and added to your order after processing. This product ships via common carrier.

    • Activated Carbon - The Mega Wolverine Pollution Control Barrel odor adsorbers are available with a variety of virgin activated carbons to adsorb whatever volatile organic compound is in need of removal.
    • Power Configuration -
      • Single-Phase - 115 Volts 60 Hz 1-Phase - .500 HP, full load: 1.7A, energy consumption: 757 kWh (2000 h/year), running cost $82
      • Three-Phase - 460 Volts 60 Hz 3-Phase - .500 HP, full load: 1A, energy consumption: ;746 kWh (2000 h/year), running cost $82
    • Removable Lid - The barrell has a lock ring and poly-clad cellulose gasket with an attached steel flange for connecting the power blower.
    • Connections - 4-inch male pipe with Fernco couplings ensure easy, durable and a leak-proof hookup to your system. Unions or quick connect fittings are recommended to make drum swap-outs as easy as possible. The drain plug at the bottom of the unit let you remove any accumulated condensation.
    • Flow Distributors - The Mega Wolverine Pollution Control Barrel contains an air plenum that will ensure even distribution of the air flow through the carbon. This helps saturates the carbon at an even rate, thus ensuring that you are getting the most from your carbon.
    • Installation & Start Up - The Mega Wolverine Air Pollution Control Barrel is simple to start up. Just connect the outlet to the treatment system and plug it in.
    • Maintenance - Once connected, the Mega Wolverine Air Pollution Control Barrel requires no maintenance other than the monitoring of the influent and effluent air streams and the operating pressure of the system. Monitoring the air stream into the last Air Pollution Control Barrel in series mode is a recommended safeguard against breakthrough in the final discharge. When the concentration of contaminants in the outflow equals the concentration in the inflow, the Mega Wolverine Air Pollution Control Barrel has reached its removal capacity and should be removed from the service. The working life of each adsorber is dependent upon the type of contaminant in the air as well as its concentration and the air flow rate. A pressure relief device is advised to prevent damage to the canister in the event of excessive pressure buildup.
    • Recharging the Mega Wolverine Air Pollution Control Barrel - Once the carbon has reached its pollutant removal capacity, the media should be removed and replaced. This is easily accomplished with a shop vac.
    • Disposal - Dispose of the spent carbon in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations
    • Optional Magnahelic Gauge - Watch for pressure drops due to saturated carbon.
