The patented 50LB Mega "T" (Patent # US 8,273,162), is a "T" style odor adsorber comes standard with 50LBs (2 Cubic feet) of Darco H2S Carbon. The 50LB Mega "T" utilizes our unique perferated disc carbon containment system with flow-through "moisture wicking" design for longer carbon bed life. This filter looks as good as it functions. the 50LB mega "t" is available for 4", 6", 8,10 and 12" vents .

Application: Atmospheric Vents/Low Flow Vents.
Overall Length: 25.625"
Overall Height: 19.75"
Overall Width: 13.75"
Standard Inlet sizes: 12" Socket; ASTM D 2665
Optional couplings: 3" to 12" Van Stone Flange/3" to 10" Socket
Max CFM: 200 CFM providing .6 seconds contact time
Carbon Capacity: 50LBS/2 cubic feet *
Carbon Type: Catalytic
H2S Breakthrough Capacity gH2S/cc carbon; .15 (Min) ASTM D 6646
* The low apparent density of catalytic carbons means fewer pounds must be purchased to fill the required volume. Since H2S removal Capacity is based on bed volume, this results in direct cost savings.
Carbon Bed Life and Contact Time Calculator
In order to calculate the life estimate of this filter, you will need to know two pieces of informaton. You will need to know the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the airstream and the volume of air moving through the filter. We have a blog entry that tells you what tools you will need to derive the PPM of the H2S and the CFM of the air. You will be presented with various carbons that remove H2S, their bed contact time and carbon bed life in hour and days.
